Why did you choose the College of Social Sciences NSYSU for your postgraduate study?
I was a professor of law in Changsha, Mainland China and I wanted to spend more time studying Taiwanese politics, legal institutions and cross-strait relations.
What did you gain from your time at the College of Social Sciences NSYSU?
A learned the ‘Taiwan’ perspective while studying at NSYSU. Although I graduated from the foremost China center in the United States. I soon learned that everything that I have learned was from a Mainland China perspective and thus, my education was incomplete.
What are your career plans in the next five years?
This year I will be completing my second book titled ‘The question of Taiwanese sovereignty under international law,’ and I will be starting my own law firm in the U.S., Mainland China and Taiwan.
